This helm assembly offers the quick response of three-turn steering, and easy installation with a patented, no- tools-required cable connection at the helm.
The Dometic Seastar Safe-T QC is a single cable rotary steering helm that can replace all SeaStar Solutions Safe-T helms made since 1968 with little to no modification to the dashboard. It is compatible with power assisted stern drive boats and can accommodate steering wheels up to 16 inches in diameter. Please note that this product does not include Steering wheel hardware(P/N SEASTAR-SA27454P). The steering wheel makes 3 turns (lock-to-lock) and this equals the total extension of the cable.
It can be used with Teleflex and Seastar Solutions SSC62XX cables, and the steering cable is held in place by a collet and hitch pin. The spent travel tube is held securely in place by a conical plastic nut.
